Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") outlines the rules for using the Teddy AI business assistant. By using the Service, you agree to these guidelines. They exist to keep the platform fair, safe, and reliable for all users.

1. Prohibited Activities

You must not use Teddy AI for any of the following:

Spam & Bulk Messaging

No sending unsolicited bulk messages, mass emails, or spam through the AI. The AI is for your genuine business communications — not cold outreach at scale.

Illegal, Fraudulent, or Deceptive Use

No using the AI for any purpose that violates Australian law or the law of your jurisdiction. This includes fraud, scams, phishing, impersonation, or any deceptive business practices.

Credential Sharing

Your Telegram bot access credentials are for you and your authorised team only. Do not share them with third parties, post them publicly, or allow unauthorised access to your AI assistant.

System Prompt Extraction

No attempting to extract, reverse-engineer, or replicate the AI's system prompt, configuration, or underlying instructions. The AI's configuration is TCS intellectual property.

Harmful Content Generation

No using the AI to generate content that is harmful, discriminatory, defamatory, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit, or otherwise illegal. The AI will refuse such requests.

Service Abuse & Disruption

No attempting to overload, disrupt, or interfere with the AI infrastructure. No automated scripting against the bot beyond normal business use. No intentionally crashing or degrading the service.

2. Rate Limits

To ensure fair usage and reliable performance for all clients, Teddy AI has the following rate limits:

These limits are generous for normal business use. If you consistently hit rate limits, it may indicate automated scripting or abuse. Contact us if you have a legitimate need for higher limits — we're happy to discuss Enterprise options.

3. Fair Use Guidelines

Beyond the prohibitions above, we ask that you use Teddy AI responsibly:

Business use only: The AI is designed for business operations. Personal use is fine in moderation, but the service is optimised for business workflows
Accurate information: Provide accurate business information for your website and AI configuration. Misleading information affects the quality of service
Respectful interactions: Treat the AI assistant professionally. While it won't take offence, abusive interactions may indicate broader issues
Prompt issue reporting: If you notice unusual behaviour, errors, or potential security issues, please report them to us promptly

4. Enforcement

TCS reserves the right to take action if this AUP is violated:

For first-time or minor violations, we'll notify you and ask you to correct the behaviour.

Temporary Suspension

For repeated or serious violations, your service may be temporarily suspended while we investigate.

Termination

For severe violations (illegal activity, fraud, persistent abuse), your account may be permanently terminated. Refund terms under the Refund Policy may not apply in cases of termination for AUP violations.

We aim to be fair and proportionate. Most issues can be resolved with a simple conversation.

5. Your Responsibilities

Keep your Telegram bot credentials secure
Ensure all team members with access understand this AUP
Monitor your account for any unauthorised access
Comply with all applicable Australian laws and regulations in your use of the Service
Maintain accurate and up-to-date business information

We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly. You can report:

Suspected unauthorised access to your AI assistant
Another user using Teddy AI for harmful purposes
Security vulnerabilities or bugs
Any behaviour that violates this policy

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the Teddy AI dashboard. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
